The course.
The Henderson Newcastle Marathon is a flat, fast and scenic road race starting and finishing at The Station (Newcastle's former rail station) in the heart of the city. Open to elite and recreational runners alike, the AIMS-accredited course takes in the best of Newcastle's stunning coastline, passing Honeysuckle Foreshore, Nobbys and Newcastle Beach. With both a full marathon (42.2km) and half marathon (21.1km) on offer, it's ideal whether you're chasing a personal best or simply soaking up Newcastle's famous harbour scenery.
